Join us in the museum’s well air conditioned Kogod Courtyard for an informal lunch.
Come and go as you please.  Look for the DOJ Pride sign.

  1. EEO/Anti-Discrimination Procedures

I’d like to reiterate that in light of rulings by the EEOC, including the Foxx ruling last month, the Department has now instructed components to treat claims of discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity as claims meriting statutory protection.  Employees now should receive a stronger, more robust process for their claims.  Because the Department’s published policy has not yet been updated, we are aiming to publicize this information ourselves.

  1. Membership Drive

If you have colleagues who might be interested in joining DOJ Pride – whether they are members of the LGBT community or allies, and whether they are new to the Department or veterans – please encourage them to message me or our Secretary, Bob Koch, to join the mailing list.

  1. Detail Opportunity in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General – Professional Misconduct Review Unit

The Deputy Attorney General’s office is seeking two experienced attorneys to detail to the Professional Misconduct Review Unit.  For more information, see here.
