LGBTQ+ Pride Month Celebration at DOJ, Featuring Keynote from Dr. Rachel Levine

DOJ Pride was honored to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month this year through the Department of Justice’s virtual program on June 21, 2021,featuring special remarks from Attorney General Merrick B. Garland and DOJ Pride President Derek Julius, as well as a keynote address from Dr. Rachel Levine, Assistant Secretary for Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  Dr. Levine, a pediatrician and formerly Pennsylvania’s top health official, is the first openly transgender federal official to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate.  As the Assistant Secretary for Health, she is working to help our Nation overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and build a stronger foundation for a healthier future, one in which every American can attain their full health potential.
