DOJ Pride 30th Anniversary and Awards Celebration

On June 17, 2024 DOJ Pride members and guests gathered in the Great Hall at the RFK building in Washington, D.C. for a combined 30th anniversary event and our annual awards ceremony. We were joined by Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, Acting Associate Attorney General Benjamin C. Mizer, and Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Colombia (and first President of DOJ Pride) Marisa J. Demeo. The 2024 Gerald B. Roemer Community Service Award was presented to chemistry professor and social media personality André K. Isaacs. The James R. Douglass Award went to Marshal Allen Sherry, PsyD of the FBI. David Cotton-Zinn and Professor Alo Basu introduced the award recipients. DOJ Pride President David Heath and Vice President H. Gustavo Ruiz hosted the event.
