At a Board Meeting on January 27, 2025, out of an abundance of caution, it
was moved to disband and cease operations of DOJ Pride pursuant to the
President’s two Executive Orders dated January 20, 2025, relating to DEIA
Programs and Gender Ideology, as well as the Acting OPM Director Ezell
memo of January 21, 2025, on Initial Guidance Relating to DEIA Executive
Orders. While DOJ Pride Bylaws normally require a 21-day notice to members
for any significant change to the structure or operations of DOJ Pride, as well
as approval by a majority of the votes cast by members, the Executive
Orders and OPM memo require immediate action by the Board to cease
operations of DOJ Pride. The motion was seconded, and it was adopted
unanimously by the Board. DOJ Pride shall cease to operate effective
immediately.
